Rhinestones & Rivolis Necklace
Did you think bling was just for the seed beaders? Not anymore. In this workshop we will work with very small jump rings and incorporate rhinestone montee beads as well as stunning rivolis in a necklace that will sparkle and shine. The centerpiece of the necklace is made using simple Helm Weave techniques and you will learn to incorporate rhinestones into the weave as well as surround a rivoli. To make the chain, you will micro maille in a Byzantine pattern while also learning to incorporate rhinestones into that pattern. The larger rivoli in this necklace is made with a 27mm size. It is bold and absolutely stunning. But, what I also wanted to share with you is that the rivolis for this project are available in 11 different colors. You don’t need to use the crystal color that I used in my sample. You will have the ability to choose your own colors to work with. Furthermore, I have created samples in Gold and Lavender. You will be able to make your project in Silver, Gold, Gunmetal or Lavender. The rhinestone montee beads in this project can also be changed. Any of the colors available in this rivoli are also available in rhinestones. This is a project that you can really make your own.
I will be teaching this workshop at the Philadelphia Bead Fest on August 19th. I hope you will join me for this amazing class. You will learn to do chain maille in new and innovative ways while still making this project your own.
