How far do flexible bugle beads bend?Text Box: My rule of thumb is that the flexible bugles will wrap around my index finger.  If you try to bend the beads more than that it can create tension and break.   The best way to bend the bugles is to put them on wire first and then bend into shapes.   Do not bend beads back and forth repeatedly.  The bead will eventually become stressed and break.   A wig jig does work well when beads are placed on wire first.  The smaller pieces can be used for wavy patterns that go in a back and forth motion.  Larger wig jig pieces can be used for large curves and bends.   The larger the bugle, the less it will bend.  Pay attention to the stress on beads in curved areas.  If stress cracks are forming, you are bending too far.
